After the defeat by Stowmarket by one try, the U14's were looking to get back to winning ways.

Southwold started with possibly there strongest team of the season and all 22 boys were available and this showed with a lightning start and four quick tries, firstly Raiphe powered through from halfway to score between the posts and Jesse converted, Jesse then scored a try after one of his twisting runs and he converted to make it 14-0, then a super try from James as an attempted kick clearance from Woodbridge was held up in the the wind, James caught a difficult catch and ran straight through to score the try. Unfortunately the wind made the con awkward and this was missed but Wold were now 19-0 to the good. Woodbridge had now woken up and Wold had a little defending to do and they held Woodbridge well and then Jesse was able to find his way through again to score a try and convert it to make it 26-0, just before halftime Woodbridge did find a way through to score there first try which was converted and the halftime score was a 26-7.

The second half was completely different Woodbridge responded strongly to the first half and scored two more converted tries to make it 26-21 without from response from Southwold who defended strongly and held on to win the game by the one try. This was a fantastic defensive effort by all of the team as they held on despite the pressure from the opposition and how difficult a strong wind made it.

We saw some strong running from Raiphe, Jesse, Sam Charlie and Sav, Callum and George defended the wings, James as fullback scored and tackled strongly, good defensive work from Joe, Nathan, Fred P , Fred L, Harry, Ben, Jake, Harrison, Louis, Alex and Arlo. Finney and Arthur worked well as scrum halves and Will had a good game as hooker.

The whole squad was used and contributed, Sam was chosen by Woodbridge as MOM and our coaches chose Will.
